Associate – Sales (Internal Wholesaler) | Job Description
Smead Capital Management is accepting applications for an Associate – Sales (Internal Wholesaler).
Job Summary:
This associate will provide service to financial advisors throughout the USA working in partnership with Vice Presidents to maintain and cultivate relationships. The position’s primary responsibilities are to provide support in the development of new business, maintain existing relationships, respond to requests, and resolve account issues and inquiries from financial advisors regarding mutual funds and separately managed accounts. The role will be based in our Jersey City, NJ office.
Responsibilities:
• Uncover sales opportunities through proactive outbound phone calls to financial advisors within the territory.
• Develop and implement a sales plan to meet specific territory and firm goals.
• Provide general sales support while working closely with the Vice President - Sales to identify prospective clients, schedule meetings, prepare presentations, and follow up on advisor interactions.
• Ability to converse knowledgeably with financial advisors and other key personnel about investment solutions and current economic and market conditions.
• Maintain the contact management database.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1-3 years working experience with financial intermediary clients
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, financial advisors, and investors verbally and in writing
• Series 7, 63, and either 65/66 required
