Northleaf is recruiting an energetic, productive and highly motivated Sales Analyst/Associate to join its global private markets sales team.
Reporting to the head of the Canadian Sales Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business development, sales and client service activities across Canada. As an integral part of Northleaf’s Canadian fundraising efforts across its global private equity, private credit and infrastructure programs, the role will require close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders (external: clients, prospects, consultants, and advisors; internal: Northleaf’s Compliance, Investor Relations, Marketing and Communications, and Investment Teams).
The successful candidate will ensure that day-to-day sales operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a proactive, hands-on, detail-oriented and highly organized individual who displays excellent project management and communication skills. The successful candidate will join a highly engaged and collaborative team and gain direct insight into the workings of a global private markets investment firm. Further, over time, the candidate can develop into a front-line, market-facing sales executive.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will possess 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in a professional services, wealth/asset management, consulting or investment banking role. This role will be responsible for supporting the growth of the Canadian investor base, across institutional, family office/ultra high net worth and asset/wealth management markets, by assisting the Sales team across a range of activities, including:
• Develop and oversee updates of standard marketing materials (PowerPoint presentations, quarterly updates, etc.) and relevant client reporting
• Maintain CRM database and manage Canadian client, prospect and consultant quarterly and ad hoc distribution in CRM
• Support various sales and client service efforts across prospects, consultants, advisors and clients, including data inquiries, information requests, meeting coordination and preparation
• Support team with management reporting development and distribution, including sales pipeline, sales statistics and weekly activity
• Assist with research of prospects, consultants, advisors, and opportunities and help senior team members prepare for meetings/calls
• Undertake ad-hoc projects as directed by the team and provide back-up to team members as needed
• Work with senior Sales Team executives to prepare investor presentations and RFPs/proposals, including coordination and engagement with Legal/Compliance, Investor Relations and Investment Team members
• Assist senior Sales Team executives with coordination and management of the new investor onboarding process, including review of subscription agreements, tax forms and banking information for completeness and processing all the Know Your Client (KYC) requirements
• Collaborate with sales team members in other regions/offices to develop and share best practices across the global sales team
• Ensure smooth communication between internal staff and clients, demonstrating confidentiality, trust, support, and reliable follow-through
• Use available technology to appropriately improve processes

Qualifications
• University degree
• Completed, pursuing or intending to compete the CFA Charter (preferred)
• Bilingual in French is considered an asset
• Expertise in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) experience
• Strong organizational skills with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize and ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented
• Accurate and timely follow up and responsiveness
• Ability to anticipate and manage multiple tasks
